Storytimes


Parents and infants will enjoy nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays, stories, and maybe a book or two. Parents will interact with their children and learn tips on how to incorporate literacy components into playtime or quiet time with their children at home.

Staffing: main librarian and one or two assistants.


Props used: flannel board

October (Halloween Family Storytime)
November (Harvest themed)
December (Winter/Christmas themed)



Toddler Storytime

Children will enjoy one or two books, a book-related craft, one song and one movement activity, and an opening and closing song. At each storytime the presenter will include an early literacy aside. These asides explain to the parent or caregiver how the activity supports an early literacy component.

Staffing: one librarian or one assistant storyteller plus one or two volunteers
